  1. The plate tool is used for drawing filled rectangles.  To create plates, position the pointer on the painting canvas, press the mouse button and drag the mouse while holding the button down.

  3. In 3D mode the plate tool draws solid three dimensional boxes
  4.  
  5. •   Press and hold the mouse button while dragging out a rectangle,
  6.      which will be the front face of the box.
  7. •   Release the mouse button and the back and side faces of the box
  8.      will appear automatically.  Drag the mouse to position and size
  9.      the back sides of the box.
  10. •   The front of the box is the plate color and the sides of the box
  11.      are the 3D color
